Peaeater

Life in hyperbole. HYPERBOLE, I said!

Vertiginous Clam

O scallop in the evening sky
How did you learn to leap so high?
Repair, repair
Come down from there
For ne'er was meant a fish to fly.

And should you prate "a whale's not fish"
Then you had best remember this:
Beware, beware
From upper air
The splayed out earth is hard to miss.

O bivalve, still you spiral on
Thou willful callow fledgling prawn
Regret, regret
The sea is wet
You cannot swim with feathers on.
